                  DIGITAL SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER*

  

Overview:  Ensure that the hotel(s) achieves total online budget, including Direct Sales through melia.com and Call Center, Melia Rewards and OTAs. Plan, execute and follow up on the online strategy for the corresponding hotel(s), closely coordinated with the Revenue and Sales teams, following the defined pricing strategy and hotel needs.

  • Coordinate campaigns and promotions (To be developed by Revenue Management and Sales) on the different online channels, based on opportunities identified by the different partners.
  • Be the hotel contact person for the MHI Direct Sales  team (melia.com, call center, loyalty, campaigns development), as well as for OTA’s Market Managers and any other online distributor (Flash Sales, etc.).
  • Plan, create and place marketing and communication actions to promote the hotels in accordance with the sales team, distribution and/or global Ecommerce.
  • Coordination with digital sales and marketing manager for the Americas the digital marketing actions, feeding them market information to optimize the Marketing Strategy.
  • Work with CRM and campaigns  to identify, design, and launch campaigns and offers, following the new CRM contact strategy, based on customer Insight, for local frequent and potential clients.
  • Work with Regional Digital Sales & Marketing Manager, identify opportunities for client data acquisition, internal and external, following CRM principles.
  • Online performance evaluation through proper reports (daily, weekly and monthly reporting for all online channels)
  • Monitor rate and inventory parity on Melia.com and contracted OTAs, coordinating with Revenue Manager.
  • Report  and follow up the online performance of the hotels in the region.
  • Find and evaluate new online opportunities, business models, and developments for the current partners.
  • Execute improvements of content.
  • Develop action plans.
  • Contract regional OTAs, ensuring to reach objective in hotels inside and outside the region.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with implementing online marketing and social media in a hotel and/or resort.
  • Proficient use of Google Analytics, Sirius, SAP, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of revenue management within a hotel/resort.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Ability to compute intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of problem solving, good judgment and decision making abilities.
  • High initiative with a strong sense of urgency and flexibility.

   

 Desirable:

  • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
