Job Description:

As a Sales Manager you will establish good business relationships with decision makers and bookers of managed accounts.  Entertain clients at the hotel and tour the property to enhance the clients' awareness of our product.  Cross-sell within the company objectives the entire portfolio of services of the Meliá Orlando Celebration.  Proactively search for new accounts with high business potential for the hotel.  Ensure the rate negotiation is in line with the MHI objectives and business plan targets.  Participate in sales blitz, presentations, road-shows, FAM trips and other sales actions as requested and determined by the Director with the aim to achieve the business targets for the year.  Keep files (both hard files and e-files) up to date and neat, complete with the relevant information, to include processing Agreements, Group Resumes, BEO's, etc.  Carry out any reasonable & lawful direct instruction provided by the Leadership Team.

Minimum Requirements:

Prior Hotel Sales Department experience, involvement of being in charge of a set of existing accounts and revenue objectives.  Proven record of success in developing accounts to achieve revenue targets set by the company, good negotiation and presentation skills.  Ability to proactively and independently drive sales for the assigned segments.  A flexible schedule is required; must be available to work various times, including mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.  Must be available for overnight travel both domestic and international.  Must be able to read, write and speak English. Other languages are a plus.
