The Melia Orlando Suite Hotel at Celebration has a great opportunity for someone that has a passion for Hospitality, loves Food and Beverage and would like to sharpen their supervisory skills! We are looking for an interim Food and Beverage Supervisor to work from November, 2018 to Mid March, 2019. Must have open and flexible availability.

JOB OVERVIEW: Assists F&B Manager in making sure all staff is trained on brand standards, proper restaurant workflow, security and cash handling procedures. Supervise the service and delivery of menu items in restaurant ensuring a high level of quality and consistency. Assist with new strategies developments and ideas.

  • Monitor performance of employees scheduled during shift and recommend and/or initiate corrective or disciplinary action. Notify management of potentially serious issues.
  • Ensure to communicate to employees menu items changes, specials, events hosted by hotel on property, property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Ensure staff members services completes opening and closing shift duties (side work duties).
  • Ensure guests receive a consistent and professional welcome and goodbye.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures.
  • Responsible of blocking guests reservations according to requests as well group rooms.
  • Ensure procedures are followed for security of monies, credit and financial transactions and guest security.
  • Throughout shift conduct routine inspections of the restaurant, bar area and public areas to ensure the appearance of such areas reflects highly on the hotel, brand and Company. Correct any deficiencies.
  • May routinely serve food and beverage, and take reservations.
  • Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption.
  • Follow procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of liquor, bar inventory and equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling labor costs and expenses, and achieving revenue and profitability goals.
  • To respect any confidential information received regarding guests, staff and management.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • May assist by performing other duties as needed such as tip reports and payroll.
