Overview: Implement and support company pricing, market strategy, yield, distribution & selling strategies, and revenue management best practices.  Manage hotel revenue generation and maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications.  Expected to be a leader and participate in the executive management committee in developing and implementing ideas to improve operations, revenue, policies, quality of guest experience and hotel efficiency.  This position oversees 2 hotel properties (Celebration, FL and Miami, FL).

Overview: Implement and support company pricing, market strategy, yield, distribution & selling strategies, and revenue management best practices.  Manage hotel revenue generation and maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications.  Expected to be a leader and participate in the executive management committee in developing and implementing ideas to improve operations, revenue, policies, quality of guest experience and hotel efficiency.  This position oversees 2 hotel properties (Miami and Celebration, Florida).

Essential Duties

  • Conduct a weekly Revenue Management Meeting where the current 120-day booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control.  Give a synopsis of results vs. decision from the previous week and leads discussion on future issues.
  • Develop and implement revenue maximization practices such as advance upgrade, front desk upsell and other key programs to lift ADR on booked reservations.Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of any internal incentive programs for Front Office, Reservations and Sales (if applicable).  Then provide the General Manager with clear payback analysis. 
  • Responsible for managing the implementation of pricing and optimization strategies.
  • Prepare daily pick up and weekly pace report, tracking hotel occupancy six months prior to arrival.
  • Keep log of all trends, events, citywide conventions, etc. that effect hotel occupancy.
  • Receive all definite/tentative group bookings and provide the General Manager with analysis of how each booking will impact occupancy, average rate, and rooms profit. 
  • Explore variations in the market to stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
  • Maintain and build all group codes, rate plans, rate strategies, billing profiles and transient, marketing, executive, corporate, wholesale, and OTA accounts.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Front Office Manager to ensure their departmental objectives and responsibilities to the hotel management group are met without having a negative impact on total rooms revenue management.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Revenue Management Committee of the team’s progress toward the goals of the forecast.  Include a detailed analysis on the impact of group bookings, adjustments to the current year forecast and analysis of variances.
  • Responsible for the daily room inventory management process.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  2. Outstanding communication skills, oral and written.
  3. Excellent analytical skills: Be able to cross-analyze various dates, detect trends and variations, grasp and understand complex data models.
  4. Understanding of statistics with weighted average, standard deviation and variance in order to be efficient with formulas and calculations.
  5. Ability to compile data into statistical overviews and graphs.
  6. Strong foundation in the hospitality industry.  This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a completion of a Bachelor or Associates in Business, Hotel Management, or Statistics.
  7. Two (2) plus years of work experience as a revenue manager in the hotel and/or resort sector.
  8. Possess intermediate/advanced computer skills.
  9. Ability to travel at least 25% of the month in order to fulfill the needs of both hotels.
